Psychedelic Caviar at Scalini’s
An evening with Bob Blumer (a.k.a. the Surreal Gourmet)
In conjunction with the Gourmand World Media Awards 2005, Scalini’s la piccolo Italia is hosting a cocktail and dinner on Friday 19 May 2006 and we have the honour of having Bob Blumer (a.k.a. the Surreal Gourmet) as our guest chef. Bob is not only a chef but he is also an artist, a professional bon vivant and also one of today’s most imaginative food personalities.
We are looking forward to having Bob who is casual, lively and very approachable in this hip and comfortable eatery, a far cry from his toastmobile trailer in California. The contrast should be amazing to watch, from Tuscany to Californian flair.
Bob will present in Scalini’s his favorite creations such as coconut shrimp lollypops, braised lamb cupcakes and flower pot salad. It will be a first for our ten year old wood-fired oven to churn out a fig and stilton dessert pizza.
Be part of a casual evening at Scalini’s with Bob Blumer and enjoy dozens of his delicious recipes, but more important, be reminded that cooking and entertaining should be fun.
Bob’s books include ‘Off the Eaten Path’ and ‘Real Food for Pretend Chefs’. Bob debuts on the U.S. Food Network on a weekly basis. However, viewers may watch Bob on Astro’s Discovery Channel here in Malaysia.
Be part of the action. When it is ’Showtime’ with the Surreal Gourmet at Scalini’s, bring camera, lights and we have action!
Limited seats are available at RM380.00 per head. Kindly call Rosalind or Zila at 03-2168 7888 for reservations or fax 03-21687808.
