Magical Christmas at Dorsett Grand Subang

images by Veronica Ng

Christmas is always a joyous celebration, with everyone wanting to treat themselves and their loved ones to something special. Turkey, candy canes, poinsettias, mistletoes and log cakes - how can we miss out on that enchanted dinner?

There is something comforting, something heart-warming, and something enthralling about Christmas dinners. Think of a feast with your loved ones; a table of sumptuous Christmas delights, laughter and love; that familiar fuzzy feeling we all countdown to every year.

At the Dorsett Grand Subang’s Terazza Brasserie, Christmas takes on an almost magical proportion with a Christmas Eve and Christmas Day buffets.  As we were privy to a media review, we duly hunkered down and tucked into the vast and delicious spread to bring you article, featuring Roast Tom Turkey complete with all the fixin’s, Prime Rib, Hickory Smoked Mussels, Roasted Australian Prime Rib, Slipper Lobster, Seafood Paella, Lobster bisque, Salmon in butter sauce and grilled vegetables and live action stations for both pizza and crepes.

The Lobster bisque was a delight in every velvety spoonful and certainly served its purpose to whet our appetites for more goodies to come.

Fish lovers will certainly get hooked (pun intended) on the very juicy Bacon wrapped Salmon. One piece will certainly not do, me hearties.

Moist and flavourful, the turkey was especially good with the accompanying cranberry sauce, well-seasoned stuffing and lip smacking buttered vegetables.

The grilled slipper lobsters with butter sauce were also excellent and testimony to their yumminess were the fact that they kept disappearing as soon as they are being replenished. Or perhaps that was just Malaysians doing what they do best?

Another firm favorite was the tender and very flavourful Chicken Wellington Roulade wrapped in buttery, flaky pastry.

The verdict? Kudos to the Chefs and their teams for a very well put together meal.
The Yule Log and Chocolate mousse were moist and sinfully rich, while the Christmas stolen, Gingerbread cookies and Christmas fruit cake will satisfy your sweet tooth.

The Christmas Eve Dinner buffet starts from 6.30pm to 10.30pm (RM98++ per person), while the Christmas Day Lunch buffet is available from 11.30am to 3.30pm (RM68++ per person).

Dinner on the Eve and Day of Christmas is available from 6.30pm to 10.30pm and priced at RM98.00++ per person, while Christmas Brunch is available from 11.30pm to 3.30pm at RM68.00++ per person.

If you’d like to go for a savoury twist instead, the Emperor Chinese Restaurant has specially designed a 6-Course Christmas Set Dinner while still keeping in the spirits of a Christmas Reunion meal. Whet your appetite with dishes like Chicken Rolls with Honeydew and Mixed Fruit Salad, to a Soup dish of Double-boiled Fish Maw with “Brazil” Mushrooms.
