Friedchillies Best Nasi Lemak Event 2005

Lions Club of Cyber Care KL and Lions & Lioness of Kuala Lumpur North are organizing a hawker food fair on Saturday, 17th of September 2005 at Arena, Bukit Kiara Equestrian & Country Resort.

There will also be a“Friedchillies Best Nasi Lemak Event 2005", where Friedchillies will be inviting our Best Nasi Lemak stall to be there to help to generate excitement and at the same time raise funds for the Cyber Care program. The previous event in 2002 that Friedchillies organized we had six participating stalls, Nasi Lemak Tanglin, Warung Rindu Pak Ya, Nasi Lemak Cikgu, Nasi Lemak Tanjung Puteri, Nasi Lemak Antarabangsa and Pizza vs Satay.

Some of the nasi lemak stalls will remain but Friedchillies hopes to bring in a few more Nasi Lemak nominated by our fans and also our previous event.

To go to the event check out 'the kopitiam' section at
www.friedchillies.com

There's also an inflatable world at the venue and you'd be stuffing yourself for charity!

Besides the Nasi Lemak event, there will also be other hawkers, and lots of fun stuff to do like telematches, competitions and a huge bouncy area! I don’t know about you guys but I’m kinda excited about that. Just remember to bounce before you consume the nasi lemak and not after. So please come and bring lots of friends, drag your famillies and even strangers you meet on the street.

Imagine a plate of piping fragrant rice steamed in coconut. Then couple it with some hot, sweet spicy deep red sambal. The crunch of anchovies and groundnuts fried crisp. The coolness of cucumber when the heat gets too much and the texture of a boiled egg- humble yet so satisfying. And then imagine the other stuff you can put on top. Nutty squid or succulent fried chicken or cockles in fiery gravy. Rendang cooked for hours over a slow, slow flame.

hungry??
