I hate meeting my friends for lunch/dinner. Don’t get me wrong, I love food and I love my catching up with my friends even more. But it’s the thought of having to decide where or what to eat that drive me nuts! The only place that offers variety to suit all would be the food court but we all know it’s not an ideal place cos most of the time the seats are uncomfortable, the floor is greasy, and for crying out loud it is a food court and not a proper restaurant.

Someone up there must’ve love me – cos I’ve just found the perfect place that offers an unbeatable combination of Asian and International Cuisine, in a stylishly comfortable and relaxed environment at an affordable price. For those who wish to have a decent meal and surf at the same time, Sohospice is also Wi-Fi enabled. Gone are the days where you need to just make do with some salad/pastry and latte.

Guess what – it gets even better. This place has a bar too! Happy hours are from 12noon to 9pm daily and on Sunday it’s all day long!

Well, let’s get down to business – how was the food at this place?

Soho Crispy Duck
Deep fried shredded duck served ala Peking Duck style. Wonderfully delicious.

Deep Fried Calamari
Batter coated pieces of calamari deep fried with chili padi – this is a must especially for beer drinkers.

Grilled Red Snapper
This will appeal to seafood lovers as the red snapper is served with a combo of clams, prawns and squids.

Green Curry Beef
You have a choice of either beef or chicken for the curry and it comes with rice served with a fried egg and papadam. Those less inclined towards chillies will find it spicy.

Pad Si Yew
This is something you probably won’t find at other Thai eateries. Don’t be fooled by this rather plain looking combination of fried vermicelli with prawns and shredded chicken. The secret is the special sambal that comes with it.

For those with a sweet tooth, there’s a variety of desserts to choose from i.e. Banana Fritters with Ice-cream, Chocolate Cake, Carrot Cake, Banana Split, Crème Caramel, Home Made Apple Crumble, etc.

It’s a real treat to go to Sohospice on weekends. Besides Soho Big Breakfast – this is a very hearty serving of super delicious thinly-sliced beef bacon, sausages, mushrooms, grilled tomato, baked beans with a choice of scrambled/fried/poached eggs served with toast plus a glass of freshly squeezed orange juice and coffee/tea (10am – 3pm) they also offer Halal Dim Sum & Pau (10am – 3pm), Roast Of the Day Set (All Day Long),
